Sandy Blumenthal 2008

Affectionately known as "Blume," Sandy coached on volleyball, basketball, field hockey, softball, tennis, swimming and badminton. Her Highlander teams were a fixture in league and CIF championships for three decades, including an unprecedented "three-peat" girl's volleyball state championships.

As librarian at LHHS, Dorothy Ashby made the Lennox Library a warm, lively place that many students regarded as a second home. Her constant curiosity about the world and love of lifetime learning continues to be contagious.

Tex Wallis 2007

Most renowned for his astounding 494-235 record and 11 league championships while boy's basketball coach at La Habra, Tex was born to be a coach. Under his guidance, La Habra built a dynasty on a foundation of recruitment, development and appreciation of young players and the gospel of go-get-'em.

Our first principal and secretary, they will perpetually be thought of as a team by La Habra's first students. Together, they created the culture and pride that continues at the school and within its graduates today.

Bill Dunton 2005

"Mr. D." taught at LHHS for 31 years and created the legendary Scotscapades. He headed the music department with a trademark mix of gruffness and driest wit, always demanding that students push the limits of their comfort zone.
